ACU-Serve has a new president, a strategic move as the company continues to invest in “growth, operational excellence and innovation across the healthcare revenue cycle management industry.”

Natasha Baria Mehta was named the company’s president in a May 12 news release.

“In this role, Mehta will oversee operational strategy, organizational performance and long-term growth initiatives across ACU-Serve’s HME/DME [home/durable medical equipment], infusion, and home health divisions,” the announcement said. “She will focus on strengthening operational alignment, enhancing client outcomes, advancing scalable technology solutions and supporting healthcare providers in navigating increasingly complex reimbursement and compliance environments.”

An ACU-Serve spokesperson told HME Business that James Dragatsis, formerly ACU-Serve’s president of resupply, and Jacqui Rose, formerly the company’s president of infusion, were named senior executive advisors/partners following the organization’s restructuring.

Jim Knight remains ACU-Serve’s partner and CEO.

The ACU-Serve spokesperson said Mehta’s familiarity in the healthcare space “was very important, especially with the way that healthcare and compliance keep changing. We needed someone who really understood that. This played a very large role in the decision making when we were going through all the interviews.

“She does understand those complexities and have that expertise. And then in speaking with her, we also love that culture is very important to her because she knows that culture matters when you’re constantly growing and things are changing that the team has to be aware of when they’re helping their clients and supporting their revenue cycles.”

Healthcare RCM experience, focus on company culture

Mehta brings with her more than 25 years of healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), “with a proven track record of scaling complex operations, driving financial performance, implementing advanced technologies and building high-performing teams,” ACU-Serve noted.

Most recently, Mehta was the president and CEO of GetixHealth, a company specializing in RCM services for hospitals, clinics, university medical centers and other healthcare facilities. At GetixHealth, Mehta was the head of “a global workforce of nearly 2,000 employees across 10 global locations, supporting some of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations and health systems while managing more than $12 billion in revenue.”

Mehta has also held senior leadership roles at HCA Healthcare/Parallon, McKesson Specialty Health, Deloitte Consulting, and St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System.

Her initiatives and priorities in former roles have included automation, process improvements driven by artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, workforce development, and operational transformation. ACU-Serve said Mehta’s leadership “emphasizes accountability, measurable outcomes, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional client and patient experiences.”

“Natasha is stepping into this role at a pivotal time for ACU-Serve as we continue to build for the future,” Knight said. “As part of our long-term growth and succession strategy, we were focused on finding a leader who not only brings deep operational expertise, but also understands how to help scale a company while maintaining strong client relationships and measurable performance. Natasha’s experience leading complex healthcare revenue cycle organizations, combined with her strategic mindset and disciplined execution, makes her the right person to help lead ACU-Serve into its next phase of growth.”

“What drew me to ACU-Serve was the people and the culture,” Mehta said. “Revenue cycle management can be done anywhere, but organizations built on integrity, transparency, collaboration and respect stand apart. ACU-Serve has built a strong foundation in highly specialized markets, and I’m excited to work alongside this team as we continue to grow both deeper within our industries and broader in the solutions we provide to clients.”

“Natasha brings a balance of strategic vision and operational execution,” said Amie Barone, ACU-Serve’s chief operating officer. “She understands how to build structure in a way that supports growth while still maintaining the collaborative, people-first culture that is so important to ACU-Serve. Her experience across complex healthcare revenue cycle environments will be instrumental as we continue expanding our services and supporting our clients at a higher level.”
