The new CTO has more than 25 years of experience in health-care technology.

February 25, 2025 by Laurie Watanabe

ACU-Serve, provider of health-care revenue cycle optimization solutions, has welcomed a new chief technology officer.

Grant Porteous “will play a critical role in advancing ACU-Serve’s technology infrastructure and scaling its innovative solutions,” the company announced in a Feb. 18 press release.

Porteous, who has more than 25 years’ experience in health-care technology, has “a proven track record in technology leadership and product development,” Akron, Ohio-based ACU-Serve added. Most recently the vice president of software development for Experian Health, Porteous began as a software developer for startup Passport Health, which was later acquired by Experian.

“Over the years, he has led multiple product and platform teams responsible for core revenue cycle management (RCM) infrastructure, achieving significant cost savings, efficiency improvements, and revenue growth,” ACU-Serve said. Going forward, Porteous will be responsible for “optimizing ACU-Serve’s technology stack, ensuring scalability, and driving advancements in automation and data-driven solutions. His leadership will further support the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality services that maximize efficiency and financial outcomes for health-care providers.”

“Grant’s deep expertise in technology and product development, combined with his ability to lead high-performing teams, makes him an ideal fit for ACU-Serve,” said ACU-Serve President/CEO Jim Knight. “We are excited to welcome him to our leadership team and look forward to the impact his vision and experience will have on our company and our clients.”
