The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) will make it easier for members to track and analyze their reimbursement rates starting in January 2025.
In a Dec. 12 announcement, AAHomecare announced it will launch its Payer Transparency Portal this month. AAHomecare provider members will be able to “tap into data from over 60 major commercial insurers to understand reimbursement trends and payment rates.”
Participating providers will also be able to compare their reimbursement rates to rates of their “peers and competitors,” and can “leverage detailed data segmented by payer, geography and billing codes to advocate for fair, competitive rates.”
“CMS [Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services] announced the Data Transparency in Coverage final rule that requires group health plans and commercial payers to disclose pricing information for covered items/services, but accessing this kind of massive data content on your own would be time consuming and costly,” the announcement said. “The AAHomecare Payer Transparency Portal simplifies the process, providing you with the actionable insights you need to succeed — at no additional cost to HME provider members.”
AAHomecare will host a free-to-attend informational webinar on Jan. 30 to demonstrate the portal and “how it can support your reimbursement strategy.”
