AAHomecare Slates ‘Stand Up for Homecare’ Reception

September 19, 2008 by HME Business

AAHomecare will host the third Stand Up for Homecare cocktail reception to raise funds for the industry’s public awareness campaign on Oct. 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Omni Hotel in the CNN Center, with entertainment provided by singer Ashley Matte.

Stand Up for Homecare  helped fight competitive bidding by providing AAHomecare members with an ad campaign, hiring public relations firms to help counteract CMS’ media efforts, and by scoring local newspaper coverage in order to advocate the value of homecare.

Companies and individuals can sponsor the program through a tiered program:

  • Gold sponsors pay $3,000 per company and get 10 tickets to the event, as well as logo placement on the event’s signage.
  • Homecare Champion sponsors pay $1,000 per person and receive four tickets.
  • Industry Advocates pay $500 per person, and receive two tickets.
  • Patrons pay $150 per person and receive one ticket.

Companies and individuals interested in sponsoring the event can obtain the form at

For more information about the public awareness campaign, please contact Michael Reinemer at 703-535-1881 or visit http://www.aahomecare.org/ads.
