Members of the American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) are receiving a new benefit in 2024.
In a Jan. 10 news announcement, AAHomecare said all of its education programs will be a member benefit. “Members are encouraged to participate in or download as many education opportunities as possible to expand your staff’s knowledge base,” the announcement said.
Following a survey on education sent to members last year, the association formed an education committee, with the program being led by Tilly Gambill, Senior Director of Education, Marketing, and Events.
“AAHomecare will strive to offer high-level, educational programming with practical application for the industry on topics covering advocacy, payer relations, emerging trends, and regulatory/legal requirements,” the association said. “A focus for the education committee is to strengthen the knowledge base of the industry to help our members’ businesses thrive and be better equipped to support patients. This includes trends, technology, and policy that can affect your operations. By making education easily accessible to our members and bringing more thought leaders to the table to offer their expertise, AAHomecare will keep information fresh and worthwhile — you won’t want to miss a session!”
Upcoming sessions include How You Can Take Advantage of the 2024 Medicare Advantage Final Rule, presented by the AAHomecare Payer Relations Team (Jan. 25); Copayment Collection and Patient Assistance Programs, presented by Jeffrey Baird and Matthew Earl, Brown & Fortunato (Feb. 13); Proven Audit and Appeal Strategies, presented by Noel Neil, ACU-Serve (March 12); and Cash-Only Retail: How to Succeed, presented by Jeffrey Baird and Matthew Earl (April 16).
Educational sessions will be recorded, and registrants will receive the recording and a copy of the presentation.
