The American Association for Homecare will host an exploratory call regarding breast pump policies, legislation and regulations, as well as interest in forming a Breast Pumps Policy Coalition on May 27 at 1 p.m. EST.
The association is inviting invite anyone in the HME community, both AAHomecare members and non-members, to join this discussion as it determines the needs and concerns of stakeholders in this category.
The call’s agenda will cover:
- Elimination of sales tax
- Developing a white paper on standardizing coverage of breast pumps and supplies across plans
- Coverage of hands-free, wearable breast pumps
- Clearly defined policies for deluxe, upgraded and non-covered items
- State Medicaid goals around breastfeeding.
