The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) has hired a senior director of payer relations.
In a July 17 press release, AAHomecare welcomed Cadie McGonagill, who “brings more than two decades of leadership experience in managed care contracting, reimbursement strategy, and payer engagement.” Before joining the association, McGonagill most recently served as vice president of managed care for Lincare.
McGonagill has served on AAHomecare’s Payer Relations Council and has been the council’s chair for the last 18 months.
“We’re excited to add another experienced HME [home medical equipment] pro to our roster and further strengthen our payer relations and state-level advocacy capabilities,” said Tom Ryan, AAHomecare president/CEO, in the announcement. “Cadie’s background in developing payer engagement strategies and navigating complex negotiations, along with her demonstrated commitment to advancing the HME community, makes her a great fit for this role.”
“I’m truly excited to join this incredible team and to contribute to the important work that we’re doing on behalf of home care providers across the country,” McGonagill said in an introductory video upon her hire.
“Over the past 27 years, I’ve built my career in the HME industry with a strong focus in payer relations, contracting strategy and reimbursement policies,” she added. “Collaborating with our peers to address reimbursement issues and payer policies has been incredibly rewarding and has deepened my understanding of the broader industry landscape. I’ve always believed in the power of collaboration, and AAHomecare represents just that. I’m excited to amplify the voice of our members, elevate payer relations as a strategic priority, and drive systematic change within this mission-driven organization.”
