A New Approach to Mask Fitting

January 10, 2022 by David Kopf

Sleep therapy is all about reinforcing patients’ compliance with their care, and the primary way to achieve that lies in ensuring they have the right mask for them. Comfort remains king.

However, there are several patient factors that mask fitting traditionally hasn’t taken into account, but probably should have. Well, a new technology offering is trying to change that — worldwide.

In the current episode of the of the HME Business Podcast, Cox Tan-Ngo, the CEO of AR Medical Technologies, talks about how his company and its MasktFit AR system is trying to change mask fitting around the world. Using 3D facial scanning and an app that is collecting anonymized mask profiles from across the globe, MaskFit AR aims to help providers, patients and referral partners optimize outcomes.
