Philips Sleep & Respiratory unveils over-the-nose CPAP mask
The DreamWisp is the first over-the-nose nasal CPAP mask designed with a top-of-the-head tube to help sleep apnea patients sleep more comfortably. Instead of sitting in front of the face, the tube sits atop the head and connects to an over-the-nose nasal mask, allowing users to move freely throughout the night.

Philips expands SmartSleep product line
Philips has added three new products to its SmartSleep suite of solutions: Snoring Relief Band, Better Sleep Program, and Analyzer. The Snoring Relief Band is worn around the chest and measure sleep behavior to prevent the wearer from turning onto his or her back. The Better Sleep Program helps trains users to implement healthy sleep habits by connected a wearable sleep tracking device to a smartphone, which serves up tools designed to help users gain sustainable results. The Analyzer provides analysis of users’ sleep patterns based on an online questionnaire, the results of which can be used to identify sleep challenges and recommend personalized solutions.
ResMed Introduces Its First Top-of-Head CPAP
The AirFit N30i is ResMed’s first top-of-head, mask-to-tube CPAP. It features a new cushion cradle affixed under the nose for more free movement and less disruption while sleeping. The new design also reduces facial marks and irritation for the user.
ResMed Announces First Minimal-Contact Full Face CPAP
The AirFit F30, the latest in ResMed’s AirFit mask portfolio, is the company’s first minimal-contact full face CPAP mask. The mask consists of a minimal-contact cushion that sits below the nose, preventing top-of-nose contact and reducing feelings of claustrophobia. It fits 93 percent of users and features ResMed’s QuietAir vent, which keeps the mask quieter than even ambient bedroom noise.

The Astral Life Support Ventilator from ResMed. ResMed has upgraded their life support ventilators by including Optional AutoEPAP in iVAPS for patients in the United States. AutoEPAP or automatic expiratory positive airway pressure automatically adjusts a user’s expiratory pressure in response to obstruction of the upper airway. Other upgrades to the Astral iVAPS include easily changeable mouthpieces and full face, nasal or pillow masks from a single limb circuit and customizable program names.
