ResMed’s new QuietAir diffuser vent elbow for its AirFit and AirTouch F20 CPAP masks reduces noise by 89 percent and produces a 70 percent gentler air flow, according to the company. Excess noise produced by therapy is a key concern for both sleep apnea patients and their bedmates, to the point that it can hamper compliance. Life support Ventilators Join Remote Patient Monitoring Network

ResMed has brought cloud connectivity and its remote patient monitoring software – AirView – to its Astral life support ventilators. Cloud connectivity enables physicians and HMEs to access key patient data in the cloud to better manage and improve the outcomes of patients using life support ventilators at home. ResMed’s network is secure and HIPAA compliant. Clinicians have the option of accessing patient data via AirView or through the Res Med Data Exchange, where they may integrate their own electronic medical records system with AirView.

myAir

myAir Now Available as an iOS App

myAir, the a free online support program that lets users of ResMed’s AirSens 10 and AirCurve 10 track their nightly sleep therapy data and progress over time, is now available as an app for iOS devices, such as iPhones. The myAir app contains the same features as the mobile-responsive myAir website, but now users can access their sleep therapy data and helpful tips and videos when and where it’s convenient for them. Patients’ data syncs with myAir automatically with no modules to manage or manual data downloads required. To get the app, users should visit Apple’s App Store. New users can easily register for an account through the app or by visiting ResMed.com/myAir.
