ResMed is offering a new option for sleep apnea treatment with its AirFit N30, the first tube-down nasal cradle CPAP mask with a front-facing tube. The company's lightest mask yet, the AirFit N30 features adjustable elastic headgear and a nasal cradle cushion sitting under the nasal bridge to eliminate soreness in that area. With its curved cushion, the mask is designed to provide a secure seal regardless of how the user sleeps or moves during sleep. The product is now available in the United States, with more countries to follow.

ResMed Introduces Its First Top-of-Head CPAP
The AirFit N30i is ResMed’s first top-of-head, mask-to-tube CPAP. It features a new cushion cradle affixed under the nose for more free movement and less disruption while sleeping. The new design also reduces facial marks and irritation for the user.

The AirFit F30, the latest in ResMed’s AirFit mask portfolio, is the company’s first minimal-contact full face CPAP mask. The mask consists of a minimal-contact cushion that sits below the nose, preventing top-of-nose contact and reducing feelings of claustrophobia. It fits 93 percent of users and features ResMed’s QuietAir vent, which keeps the mask quieter than even ambient bedroom noise.

Excess noise produced by therapy is a key concern for both sleep apnea patients and their bedmates, to the point that it can hamper compliance. The QuietAir brings those noise levels for ResMed’s full face masks “well below ambient noise,” according to ResMed CEO Mick Farrell.

Life support Ventilators Join Remote Patient Monitoring Network
ResMed has brought cloud connectivity and its remote
patient monitoring software – AirView – to its Astral
life support ventilators. Cloud connectivity enables
physicians and HMEs to access key patient data in the
cloud to better manage and improve the outcomes
of patients using life support ventilators at home.
ResMed’s network is secure and HIPAA compliant.
Clinicians have the option of accessing patient data
via AirView or through the Res Med Data Exchange,
where they may integrate their own electronic medical
records system with AirView.
myAir Now Available as an iOS App
myAir, the a free online support program that lets users of ResMed’s AirSens
10 and AirCurve 10 track their nightly sleep therapy data and progress over
time, is now available as an app for iOS devices, such as iPhones. The myAir app
contains the same features as the mobile-responsive myAir website, but now
users can access their sleep therapy
data and helpful tips and videos when
and where it’s convenient for them.
Patients’ data syncs with myAir automatically
with no modules to manage
or manual data downloads required. To
