The JAY Fusion with CryoFluid addresses all four risk factors associated with pressure injuries: pressure, shear, temperature and moisture — a feat the company says only the CryoFluid can accomplish. The patent pending CryoFluid is made of paraffin wax microbeads combined with graphite that absorbs the user’s heat, cooling the skin surface to a therapeutic temperature to help reduce the risk of pressure injuries. CryoFluid actively cools for up to eight hours, “resets” during off-loading, and the capacity for cooling won’t diminish over time. The CryoFluid insert is divided into five chambers to minimize fluid migration for optimal immersion and weight distribution.

The Switch-It Cool Cube with Pro Spot Proportional Switches system is designed to give power wheelchair users flexibility in switch management and performance. The Cool Cube central hub input ports interface with multiple types of switches and sensors, and when combined with Pro Spot proportional switches, users have control of their power wheelchair’s speed and direction. Pro Spot proportional switches offer full and continuous range of speed and direction. The percentage of programmed speed is directly proportional to the pressure the user applies on the switch. In addition, each switch correlates with an auditory tone to inform users of which switch they are using.

HCPCS coded E2620, the JAY J3 PD Back has dual-layer foam, quick release hardware, and multiple modification options. It also features a layered 3DX Spacer Fabric and Lycra stretch cover to promote airflow and wick moisture. The backrest comes in five contour shapes and four support heights, and has 6 in.-deep contour depth to provide midline postural support and positioning. A dove-tail track design and interchangeable seating options let the JAY Fit’s adjust to growth and changing support needs over time. Adjustability includes a width range of 10 to 18 inches, seat depth range of 8 to 20 in. and back height range of 10 to 22 in. The total weight of the JAY Fit begins is 5.5 lbs. and can accommodate users up to 250 lbs. The new Quickie QX manual, folding wheelchair offers the QX Series’ strength, durability and style, while also supporting the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Code K0004 designation. The Quickie QX includes a vertically adjustable axle plate, while the QXi has both vertical and horizontal adjustability and a HCPCS Code K0005 designation. The JAY GS cushion for children and young adults is now available in an Adjustable Skin Protection model (coded E2622) and an Adjustable Skin Protection & Positioning model (coded E2624. The JAY GS utilizes a durable, maintenance-free foam base with a large well cutout that lets the user sit at the front of the cushion to start. As users grow, shelf extensions can be added to increase the cushion’s front length and provide more support for longer legs. The GS also features a JAY Flow fluid skin protection insert; an X-STATIC cover that inhibits bacterial growth; and 3DX spacer fabric for airflow.
