Regional New England sleep and respiratory specialist provider Spiro Health has acquired Absolute Respiratory Care (Johnston, R.I.).
The acquisition will help Spiro Health operate across Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Spiro Health was formed in April by three New England HME providers, America’s HealthCare at Home (Baltimore), Cape Medical Supply (Sandwich, Mass.), and Health Complex Medical (Waterbury, Conn.).The three merged to form the larger Spiro Health umbrella care organization serving the region.
Absolute Respiratory Care offers a full range of medical equipment and supplies, with an emphasis on sleep therapy solutions. Since 2005, it has evolved to leverage innovations such as wireless monitoring and to create a touchless telehealth model for sleep therapy.
That mindset should mesh well with Spiro’s focus on new technology solutions to provide its patients and partners a seamless experience when ordering home medical equipment and supplies (HME).
“Absolute Respiratory Care is excited to join with the team at Spiro Health,” said Jayne Matoian, president of Absolute Respiratory Care. “We look forward to collaborating on best practices, maintaining continued growth, and driving industry leading clinical outcomes. We know that this integration will ensure we can continue to deliver excellent patient care, especially as we continue to scale.”
“Spiro is thrilled to welcome Jayne and her leadership team onto our platform,” said Gary Sheehan, CEO of Spiro Health. “The added scale in Southern New England supports our continued growth in the region and beyond.
“Absolute has a dynamic track record of growth and success in R.I., Mass and more recently Eastern Conn., which fits in very well with our existing team and operating region,” he added. “We look forward to welcoming additional innovative companies into the Spiro family upcoming and are excited to work with leadership teams who share our focus on service, growth and a culture of success.”
