The registration deadline for DBidS arrives tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 16, according to a reminder from the competitive bidding implementation contractor (CBIC), which also covered other important deadlines, including the Covered Document Review Date and the bid window closing.
CBIC reminded participants in Round 2021 of CMS’s competitive bidding program that they have until 8:59:59 p.m. prevailing Eastern Time on Friday, Aug. 16 to register to request access to the DMEPOS Bidding System, DBidS.
The update from CBIC reminded that “no authorized officials (AOs), backup authorized officials (BAOs), or end users (EUs) can register to request access to add DBidS after registration closes and, therefore, will not be able to bid. Registration to request access to add Connexion, the program’s secure portal, always remains open.”
Those needing to do so should visit the CBIC website for registration instructions, including the CMS Enterprise Portal User Manual; the Registration Reference Guide for DBidS and Connexion; Registration Troubleshooting Tips; and DBidS and Connexion User Role Table.
Additionally, CBIC reminded Round 2021 participants that the Covered Document Review Date (CDRD) is on Monday, Aug. 19. If Round 2021 bidders haven’t yet uploaded the required financial documents in Connexion, they must do so on or before Aug. 19, the covered document review date (CDRD).
Bidders needing more information on the Covered Document Review should read the Process for Reviewing Covered Documents fact sheet; Required Financial Documents fact sheet; the Uploading Documents in Connexion Quick Reference; RFB Instructions; and the on-demand series of webcasts on the CBIC website.
To assist, CBIC’s customer service center, available at (877) 577-5331, will be open until 11:59:59 p.m. on the CDRD, Aug. 19.
Finally, CBIC reminded bidders that the bid window is currently open, and will close on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
