Listening to feedback from exhibitors and attendees, long-standing industry conference and expo Medtrade has changed the schedule for its upcoming Oct. 23-25 event, by extending the expo hours and cutting the final day of the show.
Typically, Medtrade begins with a pre-show on a Monday, and then hosts the expo and conference sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as a partial expo day on Thursday. This year’s show is similar, with a Monday pre-show and conferences and expo on Tuesday and Wednesday, but Medtrade has extended the expo hours to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and removed the partial Thursday.
The show will also finish off on Wednesday evening with a reception on the show floor that will give attendees the chance to win a $5,000 cash prize.
The changes came after surveying and soliciting input from attendees and exhibitors, according to the event’s management.
“Survey data indicated that an efficient two-day expo schedule could better satisfy objectives of attendees and exhibitors,” said Kevin Gaffney , Medtrade’s group show director.
“The change is based on exhibitor feedback, survey data, and subsequent analysis by the Medtrade Advisory Board and staff members,” added Sarah Varner , marketing director for Medtrade. “We are modifying the show schedule to provide exhibitors with the highest quality exposure to Medtrade attendees, as well as to offer the best experience for attendees—many of whom may be able to save additional money on hotel and expenses.”
