After a 35-year career with HME software company QS/1 that saw her work her way up to company leadership, Tammy Devine has announced she will retire later this year from her role as president.
Devine started at QS/1 in 1982 as a programmer, and held several managerial positions in software development, marketing and operations, as well as executive vice president, until becoming president of the company in 2011. During her career, the company established itself as a player the DME, pharmacy and governmental software niches, with a footprint covering all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
“Tammy will be missed tremendously,” said Alan Turfe, chairman and CEO of parent company J M Smith Corp.. “Her leadership at QS/1 has been phenomenal, and I am very grateful to her. I am very impressed with her strategic vision and the foundation she leaves behind — a committed and talented set of employees ready to embrace opportunities in the market.”
“The time is right for me to step down,” said Tammy. “Our latest product, SharpRx, has been successfully launched, we reorganized our processes to improve both quality and customer satisfaction and our employee engagement scores are at an all-time high. Leaving a company I love will naturally be hard, but everyone who knows me will tell you that I am looking forward to having more time to spend with my grandchildren.”
A national search is currently underway for her successor.
