Universal Software Solutions, Inc. (USSI), a provider of practice management software for home healthcare markets, will hold its third annual Health Care Data Management System (HDMS) User Conference from September 19 to 21, 2017 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Livonia, Michigan.
The theme of the conference is “Knocking Down Barriers,” and the event will bring together HDMS users, Universal Software Solutions staff members, and other from the HME industry. Phil Deschaine, conference director, said the event is expected to draw more participants and industry experts than previous years.
This year the user conference has added a HDMS Boot Camp, “which will allow our users to get a comprehensive training on all aspects of HDMS software in just two days,” Deschaine said.
2017 conference track topics include:
- Auditing;
- Accounts receivable and billing;
- Inventory;
- Document management;
- Industry and regulatory changes; and
- Specialty pharmacy.
Universal Software Solutions created the HDMS Users Group in 2015 to offer the company’s HME providers “with the most current information on the HDMS software, industry updates and sharing of best practices,” according to information from USSI.
“For the same reason we launched our USS Academy, here at USSI we believe that knowledge is the key to our client’s success,” said Christopher Dobiesz, president of the company.
“The success of our conferences is due to the strong participation of our users, and the help of our HDMS Conference Committee that picks topics that are important to our users,” Deschaine said.
Members of the conference committee include:
- Chris Ayshford from the Mayo Clinic;
- Arron Brummitt and Derek Damstra from Carelinc Home Medical;
- Jennifer Kostowniak from Buffalo Wheelchair;
- Amy Lawson from Prometheus Group Inc; and
- Mary Ellen Spradlin, owner of Health Care Reimbursement Solutions.
