Brightree, a provider of cloud-based software for post-acute care companies, has partnered with Advanced Diagnostic Solutions (ADSI), a provider of overnight home sleep apnea and pulse oximetry testing.
HME providers can use ADSI testing services to determine patient eligibility for home oxygen and sleep therapy. ADSI is compatible with all major oximeters and also offers its own oximeter that includes Bluetooth connectivity to iOS and Android devices.
This partnership will let HME providers order ADSI diagnostic services directly through the Brightree software. Previously, HME providers had to submit their orders manually by fax, phone or the testing partner’s website. Now, they can complete the pulse oximetry or home sleep test ordering process by submitting information electronically through Brightree software. According to information from the companies, electronic ordering process will avoid duplicate data entry and automate inbound results delivery.
“As the HME industry undergoes changes that affect profitability and patient care, our new service will provide an effective means to manage and automate home-based testing for sleep apnea and pulse oximetry,” said Gary Long, chief business development officer of Brightree. “By creating a more efficient process, we help lower the cost of processing the orders and enable providers to take care of patients more quickly through the ADSI-Brightree integration.”
According to Brightree, this partnership will also benefit patients by improving turnaround time for results and equipment delivery, so referral sources can offer treatment sooner.
“By using technology to more effectively bridge the gap between testing and therapy, we will help initiate management and treatment of these conditions faster to improve patient outcomes,” said Nick Knowlton, vice president, business development, at Brightree. “This has the potential to positively impact the health and well-being of tens of thousands of patients per year.”
