As the industry warms up to launch its advocacy efforts during the quickly approaching, post- election “lame duck” session of Congress, the industry will the National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (NRRTS) is hosting an Online Town Hall Meeting this Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. ET regarding Complex Rehab Wheelchair Accessories Legislation, H.R. 3229 and S. 2196.
“We need CRT stakeholders to be connecting with their Members of Congress stressing the need to stop the significant Medicare payment cuts to Complex Rehab Wheelchair accessories scheduled for January 1st,” said Don Clayback, executive director of the National Coalition for Assistive and Rehab Technology (NCART), which will be participating in the event. “This is a great opportunity to hear where things stand and what you need to be doing to ensure Congress stops the January cuts.”
NCART will provide an update on the status of the legislation and give a preview of things to come once Congress returns from the campaign trail. Clayback added that the presentation will also cover much-needed CRT stakeholder actions and related legislative tools they can use in their efforts.
