Convaid Products Inc., which manufacturers mobility and complex rehab products for young patients, has expanded its collaboration with the United Cerebral Palsy Organization of North America to increase its donations to UCPNA and several of the organization’s independent affiliates.
Torrance, Calif.-based Convaid has had a long-standing relationship with United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, where it donated pediatric mobility products to those affiliates and participated at multiple fundraising events. That collaboration was expanded to include United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County (UCPOC) and United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia (UCPPhila), with additional alliances with UCP affiliates in formation.
Now the relationship has been expanded to the United Cerebral Palsy of North America (UCPNA) national office in Washington, D.C.
Convaid’s first donation of pediatric mobility products will take place at the upcoming UCP National Conference to be held at the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 4-6, 2016. Convaid will donate a Convaid lightweight, folding, pediatric wheelchair for raffle at the UCP National Conference as well as a Carrot 3 Child Restraint System, a best-in-class child restraint system for use in a vehicle. All UCP affiliate members at the National Conference will have an equal opportunity to participate in the raffles for the two Convaid products and the winners will be announced on April 6 by closing of the event.
“We are very appreciative of the donation of these products to support our affiliates and the individual families they serve, and we look forward to working with Convaid over the course of the year to provide additional donations to benefit UCP’s affiliate network,” Anita Porco, vice president of the Affiliate Network for the UCP National Office said
