The VGM Group Inc. has released the full schedule for its 15th Annual Heartland Conference, slated for June 13 to 16 at Waterloo, Iowa’s Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center.
The education lineup includes more than 50 industry experts delivering presentations across 16 session tracks covering topics such as retail, billing, compliance and several care category-specific tracks, including respiratory, sleep and mobility.
VGM reports it expects more than 1,000 attendees to help mark the 15th anniversary of the event.
“Our education sub-committees worked diligently to create another great lineup of industry experts, and we’re looking forward to showcasing our famous hometown hospitality,” said Sara Laures, VGM’s vice president of Special Projects, and one of the conference’s long-time organizers.
This year’s installment of the VGM event is themed “Ignite Ideas and Cultivate Connections,” and in that vein, features a “Big Ideas” conference track that includes a creative boot camp that presents simple life changes that will have the greatest effect on developing long-term creative problem solving; a “speed networking” event that will play off the idea of speed dating; and a special event to honor the women of the HME industry.
“This track will focus on building relationships and forming new connections and ideas,” Laures said. “We’ll be sure our traditional education and CEU opportunities will continue to knock it out of the ballpark, but we also want Heartland attendees to experience the fun of an outside of the box approach to HME education, too.”
