Compression garment manufacturer Juzo has opened JUZO CANADA LTD. in Burlington, Ontario to serve patients, retailers and the medical community in Canada.
“At JUZO, we are committed to improving the lives of those affected by chronic illnesses and strive to find compression solutions that will help their mobility to make their live easier,” said Petra Zorn, vice-president of Juzo USA. “As part of that commitment, we also want to make it as easy as possible for patients to find our products and for dealers and medical professionals to work with us. Opening JUZO CANADA is our opportunity to accomplish those goals.”
To bolster its Canadian efforts, the company hired sales director Byron MacPhee to lead the JUZO CANADA sales force. MacPhee has nearly 15 years of compression therapy and sales management experience, and prior to joining JUZO CANADA, MacPhee served as vice president of sales for compression garmenet maker Sigvaris USA.
“Byron understands our industry and the challenges our dealers face,” Zorn noted. “He is well qualified to formulate solutions that will help grow their business, while expanding Juzo’s presence in Canada.”
“I am honored to join the Juzo team,” MacPhee said. “There is a terrific opportunity to improve our compression service and education in this market, and I’m delighted to lead the effort.”
JUZO CANADA officially began operating in May and has worked to enhance its customer service and implemented practices and resources that make it more convenient for dealers and medical professionals to order and carry Juzo products. Some of those enhancements include:
- Two additional territory managers
- Shop Juzo, an online product ordering platform for authorized dealers
- Credit card processing
- The JUZO CANADA website, which includes a Dealer Locator of qualified Juzo dealers in Canada and the United States
- A dedicated support channel to field questions about product and orders
“We want to make sure dealers and medical professionals are not only aware of our products, but can easily order from us,” MacPhee said. “Ultimately, we all are working toward the same goal: the best possible patient outcomes.”
