Medtrade Spring will host six VGM Group-sponsored Power Lunch sessions that will feature facilitators from VGM, along with experts Mary Ellen Conway, Denise Leard, and Miriam Lieber.
“It’s a great way to get your lunch and engage in an open discussion with long-time Medtrade speakers who absolutely know of what they speak,” says Kevin Gaffney, group show director for Medtrade.
The Power Lunch is slated for March 1, and runs from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., and will include moderator Scott Owen, vice president of National Sales for VGM and Associates.
The specific expert presentations:
“Documentation Requirements: Continuing Documentation Challenges – What are the Best Practices to Get What You Need from Prescribers?” which is hosted by Mary Ellen Conway, president of the Capital Healthcare Group. This will discuss best practices and remedies to ensure bullet-proof records with all of the documentation providers when it’s time for an audit.
“Social Media/Web Marketing: Posting Content that Strikes a Chord – Simple Tips and Tricks,” featuring facilitator Christina Throndson, web marketing manager for VGM Forbin. This will focus on simple ways to improve social media posts for better engagement.
“Retail HME: Retail Growth, Where Are the Best Opportunities,” facilitated by VGM Group’s Jim Greatorex, retail services business development, and Rob Baumhover, director of retail programs, and VGM Retail’s Maria Markusen, director of operations and development. This panel will share all things that have contributed to HME Retail growth, such as product lines, marketing campaigns, and in-store experiences that have been used with success.
“Home: Home Accessibility Solutions,” hosted by Jerry Kiederling, president of the Accessible Home Improvement of America, a division of VGM. During this round table discussion, attendees will hear how to develop a successful home accessibility strategy that increases cash flow and molds seamlessly with your business model.
“Audits: Problems and Solutions,” presented by Denise Leard, attorney with Brown & Fortunato; Wayne van Halem, president of The van Halem Group, a division of VGM; and Kelly Grahovac, senior consultant with The van Halem Group. This will help attendees understand the audit process and discuss with your peers the various types of audits suppliers face and, most importantly, the best practices for responding to any audit request.
“Leadership: The Instrument for Success in HME Today,” from Miriam Lieber, president of Lieber Consulting LLC, who will discuss how the combination of accountability measures and people skills are foundations for success in today’s HME business. Lieber will show how, to ensure viability and prosperity, standard levels of performance and coaching from the leaders is imperative.
“Using Data: Fighting back against Standard Reports,” facilitated by Ryan McDevitt, partner with Laboratory Tactical Consulting, who will discuss using the data that comes out of HME software systems and arranging it so that it can be better understood and discussed. Most discussions will be based around Microsoft Excel or other platforms most common to providers.
