O2 Concepts has expanding its executive leadership team with the appointment of Cory Smith as the company’s chief financial officer.
Smith has held finance and information technology leadership positions for longer than a decade in the surgical device sector. He most recently served as an executive with endovascular stent graft developer and manufacturer Endologix. There, he led the implementation of CRM and ERP applications to automate sales processes, deliver operational efficiencies and expand operations in Europe and Asia.
“Taking into account our strong performance in 2015 coupled with our growth and product initiatives for 2016, it’s the ideal time to strengthen our finance and technology leadership,” said O2 Concepts CEO Rob Kent. “Cory has a proven track record of financial leadership and complex technology integration on multiple continents, and has been instrumental in the rapid growth of Endologix from a small $7M device maker to a $150M industry leader. His leadership will prove to be a competitive advantage as we evolve our CRM, product development and cloud-based Dynamic Network Analysis (DNA) platform into a best-in-class fleet-management solution for oxygen providers around the globe.”
Prior to Endologix, Smith held multiple finance management positions in the healthcare industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fordham University and an MBA from the University of California at Irvine.
“I am very excited to join the leadership team at O2 Concepts,” Smith said. “By amassing a team with great industry experience, and developing innovative technologies, they’ve made a big impact in a very short time. I look forward to helping them accelerate their growth and innovation strategies over the coming years.”
