As providers increasingly work to expand their revenues through retail sales, they might not be aware of critical state and federal laws by which they must abide.
On Nov. 19, industry legal expert Jeffrey Baird, Esq., the chairman of the Health Care Group of law firm Brown & Fortunato P.C., will conduct a webinar discussing the legal requirements providers must meet while conducting retail sales and how to comply with those laws.
Slated for 11 a.m. Pacific, 2 p.m. Eastern, “The Legal Side of Retail: Increasing retail sales while avoiding legal pitfalls” will discuss requirements such as state licensure, possible collection of sales tax, qualification as a “foreign” corporation in other states, obtaining a physician prescription, and complying with federal and state telemarketing rules.
The online educational session will also discuss how providers can sell Medicare-covered items at a discount off the Medicare allowable.
Providers that register for the webinar will not only have access to the live event, but also an on-demand recording of the presentation and a PDF copy of the slides. The archive and slides are also available for regitrants who can’t attend the live event. The archive will be available from Nov. 18 to Feb. 16, 2016.
