The American Association for Homecare will once again host its Stand Up for Homecare reception, which helps support the association’s advocacy efforts on behalf of the industry.
Coinciding with the upcoming Medtrade conference and expo, slated for Tues., Oct. 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. AAHomecare’s annual event returns to the Chamber’s rooftop event space within walking distance of the Georgia Congress Center, where Medtrade is held.
“When you attend or donate to Stand Up for Homecare, you are endorsing AAHomecare’s efforts to promote a positive image of the home medical equipment industry; raise public awareness of homecare’s many benefits; and support consumer advocacy groups like United Spinal Association and Paralyzed Veterans of America — organizations that serve many of our patients, and are also strong allies on many of our legislative and regulatory priorities,” said Tom Ryan, president and CEO of AAHomecare. “The campaign has also provided funding for direct outreach to consumers on our issues, and has helped expand our network of grassroots advocates by thousands of new supporters.”
The Stand Up for Homecare reception is open to all members of the HME industry, not just AAHomecare members, and offers them an opportunity to meet industry leaders and engage in an evening of networking, fellowship and celebration.
At the event, AAHomecare will also recognize members of the industry who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their service to HME as its 2015 Homecare Champions.
Individual tickets cost $150, and providers can Register today by clicking here. More information and a printable/faxable Stand Up for Homecare registration from can be found at aahomecare.org/advocacy/stand-up-for-homecare.
