Harlingen, Texas-based Merida Health Care Group (Merida) has selected HME software company Brightree LLC’s electronic health record (EHR) solution for its home health and hospice lines of business.
Merida currently uses Brightree’s HME solution, and will use the EHR software to obtain a unified view of its business operations, and streamline clinical documentation processes with an eye on increased functionality and maximizing reimbursements.
“The addition of Brightree’s Home Health and Hospice solutions will allow us to stay in compliance without sacrificing clinician ease-of-use, improve patient outcomes and provide us with operational visibility across the business,” said Henry McInnis, corporate administrator at Merida.
Brightree Home Health and Brightree Hospice are cloud-based, back-office systems that include a native iPad application that eases documenting at the point-of-care. Brightree’s underlying CareTouch Logic guides clinicians through assessments and workflows to keep agencies compliant with clinical best practices. The solution is geared to help agencies reduce compliance risk, improve patient care, increase operational efficiencies and optimize billing.
“We’re excited to partner with Merida and provide a complete solution that will enable them to improve outcomes, increase efficiencies and serve the needs of their rapidly growing patient-base across multiple care settings,” said Lori Jones, executive vice president and general manager, home health, hospice and private duty at Brightree.
Merida has grown 30-40 percent yearly over the past six years and has now expanded to ten locations.
