Ottobock, a manufacturer of Prosthetic, orthotic, mobility and rehabilitation products, has dired Chris Wintenburg to fill the newly created position of Director of E-Commerce and Inside Sales for North America.
In this role, Wintenburg will manage Ottobock’s e-business relationships, and steer the company’s North America online sales. A statement from the company said Wintenburg will be tasked with increasing throughput and online sales for all of Ottobock’s business units and product categories, as well as managing its inside sales efforts.
“The creation of this new position is part of a focused effort to strategically reach our customers in multiple sales channels,” says Matt Swiggum, executive vice president of sales for Ottobock North America. “Chris’s extensive experience in the important areas of online and inside sales makes him a particularly good fit to lead this effort, and we are pleased to have him join our team.”
Wintenburg comes to Ottobock with nearly 13 years’ experience at Dell Inc. where he held the positions of Online Support Product Manager, E-Business Senior Manager, Services Business Manager, and Services Solution Director. Prior to Dell Inc. he was an IT Manager with Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Regis University and a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Wintenburg also served in the US Army as a Special Operations Team Leader for the 82nd Airborne Division and the 19th Special Forces Group.
