VGM Golf Event Raises $69K for North Star

Tournament helps Waterloo rehabilitative services agency with much-needed funds.

This year’s VGM Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament raised $69,423.35 for North Star Community Services, a Waterloo-based rehabilitative services agency that helps people with disabilities who want to live and work in their communities.

Held at Warren Golf Course in Waterloo, the 16th edition of the tournament brings the total amount of funds garnered over the years of the annual charity event to more than $700,000 for North Star (formerly Adults Inc.).Because VGM underwrites all golf and dinner costs, 100 percent of the donations go directly to the agency, the organization noted.
