The full testimony of last week's hearing before the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee on CMS’ competitive bidding program and the industry's market pricing proposal can be viewed below.

Last week, various industry representatives cataloged competitive bidding's flaws and explained the proposed market pricing program's benefits to the subcommittee in a hearing. CMS officials were also at the hearing to give their perspective.

The full, two-and-a-half-hour testimony includes statements and responses to lawmakers' queries from Laurence Wilson, director of chronic care policy CMS; Kathleen King, director of healthcare fro the Government Accountability Office (GAO); Joel Marx Chairman of the Board for the American Association for Homecare; H. Wayne Sale, chairman of the National Association for Independent Medical Equipment Suppliers; Dino Martis, president of Ablecare Medical; and Alfred J. Chiplin, Jr., senior policy attorney for the Center for Medicare Advocacy Inc.
