MAMES honors VGM’s Powers

The Midwest Association for Medical Equipment Services (MAMES) awarded Tom Powers of Strategic Media Ltd. and VGM Government Relations with its Above and Beyond Award.
The award was presented to Powers at the association's late March Spring Convention and Exhibition “in recognition of his extraordinary service on behalf of MAMES members in Iowa in the fight to protect our industry, our businesses and our beneficiaries.”
Powers actively worked on legislation that mandated a MAMES member or an affiliated Iowa organization be a member of the Iowa Medical Assistance Advisory Committee. This gives MAMES a vote on DME/HME policy and budget at the state level.
