CMS Slates Two Open Door Forums
March 21 call will discuss mobility authorization demo; April 11 call currently sans agenda.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services have slated two upcoming Open Door Forums, one for March 21 and the other for April 11.
The March 21 edition will be a special call dedicated to Medicare's prior authorization for power mobility devices demonstration project, and will run from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
This conference call-only Open Door Forum will provide an opportunity for suppliers and providers to ask questions about the demonstration project, which will implement a prior authorization process for certain power mobility equipment for beneficiaries in California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New York, North Carolina and Texas (states CMS refers to as having high rates of "fraud- and error-prone" providers). The April 11 Home Health Hospice and DME/Quality Open Door Forum is slated for Wednesday, April 11, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time. This will also be a conference call-only session. Providers can participate by calling (800) 837-1935 and entering conference ID No. 52257901.
