Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) supply manufacturer Circadiance says it is gearing up to launch a number of products for 2012 that aim to improve CPAP patient comfort while giving DME resellers and sleep lab professionals an alternative to the traditional hard plastic CPAP masks.
Cicadiance is known for it’s 100 percent-cloth SleepWeaver CPAP mask that it launched five years ago. Last year, the company introduced its SleepWeaver Feather Weight Tube as an alternative to the bulky and rigid tubing options. David Groll, Cicadiance’s CEO, says the company plans to reinvest heavily in the development of new products to drive better patient compliance.
“There was and still is a high level of CPAP non-compliance because patients are dissatisfied with their hard plastic CPAP masks,” Groll says. “There are inherent limitations to making a CPAP mask with hard plastic. The soft cloth design overcomes these limitations, providing a more comfortable experience for the CPAP patient.”
