Jan paul Miller, MEd, MA, is the new certification director of the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC), International, which provides certification for Professional certification for orthotists, prosthetists, pedorthists, orthotic fitters and mastectomy fitters, as well as accreditation for HME facilities.
“We feel fortunate to add to our staff someone with Jan paul’s experience and knowledge of certification processes,” said Claudia Zacharias, MBA, CAE, president and CEO of BOC.
Miller recently served as program manager at the National Institute for the Certification of Engineering Professionals, where he established procedures for managing test construction from contact with subject matter experts through beta testing to final test roll out. Previously, he was vice president for certification at the Construction Manager Certification Institute/Construction Management Association of America.
Miller earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He received master’s degrees in English at Morgan State University and in education at Loyola University of Maryland. Miller has completed doctoral studies in adult learning theory and community college administration at George Mason University.
