MABIS Partners with StrongArm to Distribute New Canes
MABIS has rights as master distributor of canes that combine aspects of a cane and crutch.
MABIS DMI Healthcare is partnering with StrongArm Mobility so that MABIS has rights as master distributor of StrongArm canes, which combine aspects of a cane and crutch support to provide a multifunction device.
The canes’ handles are manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum tubing so that they wrap around the forearm to stabilize a patient’s wrist and provide rearward and lateral stability. The bracing action of the cane’s cushioned cradle makes it feel like a solid extension of the user’s arm, without the need for a cuff. The hook-like cradle also lets the StrongArm be hung from a chair or railing or propped against a wall. The StrongArm cane also incorporates a flared, hexagonal floor tip centered beneath the handgrip.
MABIS will carry the Slim StrongArm Cane as well as the Standard StrongArm Cane. The Slim StrongArm is designed for small to mid-sized adults weighing up to 250 pounds, and measuring 6 feet 1 inch. The Standard Strong Arm Cane is sized for mid- to large-sized adults weighing up to 300 pounds, and measuring 6 feet 4inches.
The canes are also available individually or in cases of six, and all StrongArm Canes are reimbursable as a forearm crutch: HCPCS codes E0110 and E0111.
