GF Health Products’ Labtron Stethoscope models are now available in new blister packs. Three of the Labtron stethoscope lines — 300H (Single Head), 400H (Dual-Head), and 602H (Sprague Rappaport) — are now available in vibrant latex-free color, with adjustable binaural, and in blister pack with J-hook and instructions. Available colors include hot pink, purple, red, apple green, light blue and black. The stethoscopes are designed for professional and home use.

POS-Success provides a wide
range of retail management reports, standard and specialty reports. It also works
as an inventory manager to make sure a provider is never under or overstocked. For
security, all transactions are logged with the date, time and name of the employee.
The system stores customers’ personal data, such as buying trends and purchase
history. It shows which customer bought what, on which date, at which price and the
total purchase bought over time. It also lets providers keep customer-specific notes,
such as preferences, etc.

A graphical user interface and Windows touch screen functionality

employee hours with built-in time clock features; prints deposit and customer information
on the backs of checks; sets check acceptance parameters and maintains a

of in-store promotions. For inventory management, the system sets par levels for
automatic purchase order creation; identifies fast- and slow-moving inventory trends;
automatically updates inventory when orders are received; tracks shrinkage by
comparing inventory to actual on-hand quantities.

MedAct’s point of sale module is designed for speedy sales order
transactions in a DME storefront business, as well as automatic inventory
updates. The MedAct bar code scanning system scans bar coded equipment
and supplies for easy transactions. Accepting retail credit card payments is made possible via the built-in card processing functionality, and providers also can bring in money faster by accepting credit card payments for rental items or recurring sale items. Receipts are generated for both cash sales and charges to patient accounts. The bar code scanner also integrates with MedAct, which allows for automatic inventory updates.

In addition to supporting the usual cash drawers, barcode readers, and
for credit and debit card transactions, Brightree’s POS solution features
a touch screen that is optimized to provide quick, accurate checkouts.
A biometric login via finger print reader enhances enhanced security
and audit trail features to ensure cash sales security. A standard receipt printer allows providers to customize their receipts with a logo, address and phone number, as well as user-defined messages, such as their return policy or store hours. The POS is set up with a regular PC in the retail section of a provider’s store with the peripherals the HME has chosen. Once in place the retail module is fully integrated with the rest of the Brightree system, so
inventory quantities, receipts, deposits, and all other relevant data are automatically updated with each transaction. Retail sales data can be tracked by specific patient or handled as a simple cash sale. Also, Brightree provides daily reports to summarize sales activity and reconcile tendered amounts.
Computer Applications Unlimited's Point of Sale
CAU’s point of sale solution also takes a modular approach, with a
“cash register” application built into the web edition of its software that
seamless integrates with various hardware components to form a
retail platform. The cash register software is linked in real-time to the
inventory system, as well as accounts receivable retail revenue. A sturdy cash drawer
controls and stores both cash and checks, and includes two-key security. A bar code
gun (or bar code wand) reads both UPC and Solution/One HME bar code labels. A
wedge reader translates barcode data, displaying it onto the Solution/One HME
web edition’s cash register page. Also, CAU offers a standard, 3-inch thermal receipt printer for the system.
