Lateral Positioning Cushion

Elevated design
This cushion corrects sitting posture to control lateral leaning. The elevated design provides the positioning support that wheelchair users require to reduce ishial pressure. The three-layer design includes a top layer of temperature-sensitive foam; a center core of high-density foam that adds comfort and prevents bottoming-out; and a firm foundation that eliminates sling-seat hammocking. The cushion is covered in double-stretch fabric to reduce skin shear. A safety strap prevents the cushion from slipping.

Sloped Inward
The perimeter cover reduces the risk of falls and entrapment. The rpoduct incorporates a covered foam border that rises approximately 2.5" above the air mattress surface and is sloped inward to reduce the risk of user roll-out. The center of the perimeter border allows for user egress and facilitates the articulation of the bed surface. The quilted covers are made from breathable, nylon-coated polyurethane.
