Penguin Cold Cap System
The Penguin Cold Cap System from Medical Specialties of California prevents damage to scalp follicles during chemotherapy. The system involves continuous application of precisely cooled caps to the scalp before, during and after intravenous chemotherapy. The system consists of a series of color-coded cold caps, a refrigeration unit, timers and cold pack extravasation bands. Each cap is designed to reduce and maintain the epicultaneous scalp temperature at the correct cold therapy level for the duration required for successful results.
