Altoona, Pa-based provider Dick’s Homecare Inc. has purchased assets of Walnut Medical Services in Lewistown, Pa. The addition will provides operational efficiencies for both companies within the Central Pennsylvania market, according to a statement from Dick’s Homecare.
“The acquisition of the assets from Walnut Medical’s Lewistown facility has further expanded our ability to provide exceptional services while strengthening our unique position within the Central Pennsylvania market,” said, Randy Dick, president of Dick’s Homecare. “The purchase of the Lewistown assets underscores our commitment to provide exceptional services and equipment to the patients we serve in our home markets. Delivering care locally is what patients expect and deserve and that is exactly what we are committed to providing.”
The operations of Walnut Medical’s Lewistown facility will be moved to the existing Dick’s Homecare offices in Lewistown. Merger and acquisition firm Duckridge Advisors served as the advisor for Walnut Medical Services in the deal.
Dick’s Homecare is one of the largest providers of home medical equipment and related products and services in the rural Pennsylvania market with operations in eight locations.
