To help the industry advance H.R. 4920, its new legislation to fight against competitive bidding, the American Association has provided online resources to help HME businesses attract Congressional backers to the bill.
This is important given that a compressed election-year calendar has created an equally compressed Congressional session.
To help providers advance the bill, the American Association for Homecare has created a new web page as part of its online Take Action Center that offers more information on the bill and non-binding bids. The page also providers tools to help providers identify their congressional representatives and then contact them or their staff on behalf of the bill.
Tom Ryan, president and CEO of AAhomcare called on providers to take some time to reach out to your Congress members by phone and email.
“Making changes doesn’t happen overnight; it requires perseverance and patience, and we’re grateful to these folks for sticking with it and continually pushing the issue to the forefront of their representatives’ minds,” he said. “Unless we reach out and educate those people with the power to make positive change, we won’t see those positive changes take place.”
