Mobility and accessibility lift manufacturer Harmar has appointed Drew McCartney as its new president and CEO.
Effective Monday, April 28, McCartney will succeed Harmar founder Chad Williams, who has been with the company since 1998. Williams will remain with Harmar as a member of the Board of Directors.
“During his tenure as CEO, Chad built Harmar into one of the preeminent manufacturers of mobility and accessibility products in the United States,” said Jeff Lipsitz, managing partner at Cortec Group, Harmar’s controlling shareholder. “His leadership over the last 16 years was critical to Harmar’s growth and we look forward to his continued involvement in the business as a member of the Board of Directors.”
McCartney’s prior experience includes CEO roles on portfolio companies of BelHealth Investment Partners and DW Healthcare Partners. Previously, Drew served as CEO of a combination drug-device entity, First Circle Medical Inc.
“We are thrilled to have Drew join Harmar as president and CEO,” outgoing CEO Williams stated. “He has extensive and relevant experience building healthcare businesses and proven leadership skills to drive the company forward in our next phase of development.”
“I am honored and excited to lead Harmar into the future,” McCartney said. “It is a great business with a leading position in an attractive market. I look forward to working with the company’s talented management team and Cortec Group to build on its heritage of quality products and superior customer service.”
