The 29th International Seating Symposium, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Rehabilitation Science & Technology Continuing Education Program, will feature new products and technologies this year.
Slated for March 5 – 9 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center in Nashville, the exhibit hall will include 68,000 square feet of exhibit space and will feature 112 exhibiting companies dedicated to seating and wheeled mobility technologies.
“The International Seating Symposium is the highlight of yearly shows, from a rehab industry perspective, for Quantum Rehab,” says Jay Brislin, MSPT, vice president of Quantum Rehab, which is a platinum sponsor of the event. “… The exhibit floor at ISS buzzes with ideas and solutions to help improve the lives of those with mobility needs, and the educational opportunities and relationships formed at ISS strengthen and challenge the rehab industry to create advancements in therapeutic methods and mobility product innovations.”
The exhibit hall will be open March 6 through 8 for a total of 16 hours for interaction during breakfast, lunches, the welcome reception and symposium breaks A continental breakfast and “walk-about” lunch will be served in the exhibit hall on Thursday and Friday of the event as well as a welcome reception on Thursday evening.
Also, for the first time, the ISS exhibit hall will be open to all ISS registrants and consumers on Wednesday, March 6. See, Touch, Explore: The Wheelchair Users Experience, offered in collaboration with UsersFirst, will offer wheelchair users the opportunity to visit the exhibit hall and see first-hand the latest in products and services from participating exhibitors.
Registration for the 2013 ISS is $599 and includes registration materials, access to all educational sessions, continental breakfasts and breaks, lunch in the exhibit hall on Thursday and Friday, the ISS Welcome Reception, and continuing education credit.
